A quick outing lands us a few beautiful birds to bring back to the cabin. Once processed and clean we try our hand at Peking Duck and are not disappointed with the iconic dish.

Maybe something simple you could make would be a wooden tobaggan for picking up road kills actuallty pretty simple to make there are instructions on you tube just gotta soak the boards in some water to get them to bend for your skiies. The Idea is they are flat and just role the carcass on on rather then trying to lift them on a walled sled./ Just my two cents though.

You are so lucky to be able to shoot more than one pintail in your spring season in Alaska. Fall season on the west coast (Oregon) we can only shoot one/day. They are beautiful and great tasting ducks! I like hunting and eating widgeon also. We like to stir fry breast meat of ducks with a similar sauce like the one you made. The meat tastes great with stirred fried veggies over rice. Just cooked some saved, frozen duck and goose legs from the fall season. in the instant pot last week. Meat falls of the bone and made great tacos! Thanks for the video!

I have hunted ducks my whole life and have a number of vanishing ducks. I have seen them dive and never come back out again, even dabbling ducks will do it. Not saying that is what yours did, but they will go down and wedge themselves under stuff in the bottom. What a great video though. One of your best. I will take a hunt like that any day. Gorgeous birds. Thank you for taking us a long.
